What password you are using ?.. Admin123 ??.
Also confirm if there is any integration is being used like SSO,EBS-OBIEE integration,MSAD or OID etc.
One more thing Can you check RPD version by logging into EM-->Business Intelligence-->Capacity Management --> Deployed defalult RPD name
Or check it from NQsconfig.ini and try opening it in offline mode?..

Hi thanks. Password is right. 'sample RPD' i am using and i was able to login before installing OBIA 18.104.22.168. Password and user are right there is nothing wrong with password and user.
Can you redeploy the RPD and check again?.
You might frefresh GUID's and check in case if the first option doesn't work.
Yes, I re-developed RPD and Catalog but still i am not able to login. error message: 'invalid user /password'
and i also refresh GUID's but didn't got any success.

Looks like BISystemUser is corrupted otherwise locked.
Follow these steps to reset the password for the BISystemUser.
1)Login to weblogic console -->Security reallms-->USer and groups -->BISystemUser -->Change the password or reset it to weblogic password.
2)You need to do the same in credential store as well.
login to em -->weblogic domain -->bifoundation_domain-->right click and locate credential store -->click on oracle.bi.system -->system.user -->Change the password or reset it to weblogic password
Ensure This password and password reset in the 1st step should match.
Restart BI services.Post your results after doing this.

I tried in all possible ways to fix this issue.last option is to open SR with Oracle.See if that helps.

As far as I know BIApps 188.8.131.52 is the correct version for OBIEE 184.108.40.206.
I am facing exactly same issue where none of the users is able to login after the installation of BI Apps. Did you manage to find the solution to it.

I tried many ways to resovle this issue....
ex:- NQS congilg file change - Parameter to YES
instance config file change - adding one more parameter as available in OTN Discuossin
Rpd deployments sevral time
Change the and retype the pwd's via EM and webcosnloe
check the username whether it is locked or unlocked in DB level ......etc

i am using OBIEE 220.127.116.11 and OBIA 18.104.22.168
after installation OBIA i was gettign the same error as you mentioned.
I got similar problem: invalid user name or password. After exploring logs, i found following error:
OBI-SEC-00003, OBI-SEC-00004 from BI security service in EM. any tips to fix?
I am also using same versions. even i re-installed 3 times same issue happens after installing BI Apps (any version of apps)
i tried all means and ways to fix this issue Till now i didn't got any solution and i also looking for solution. I can't rise SR. so if you have can please do so.

which version Apps & OBIEE u r using? If ur using obiee 22.214.171.124 with Apps any version then current dont have soution for this. If you can please rise SR if ur using obiee126.96.36.199
