Java JRE 1.6 End of Public Updates

    1003469
I was under the impression that Java 1.6 update 43 was going to be the last public update for the 1.6 family. Has support for 1.6 been extended beyond the original February 2013 cut off date since update 45 was just released? If so, how much longer will updates be released before 1.6 does not offer public updates?

The Feb 2013 date is still the date of record on the End of Public releases table, it has not changed.

The 6u45 release being available does not indicate that pubic releases have been extended beyond that date. Consider it a bonus release.
