I have setup an Oracle 11g Database and have a question about exporting and importing a database. I am using Enterprise Manager and have browsed to the following: Data Movement->Export to Export Files. Down the bottom of the screen, I need to supply Host Credentials. When trying to use the username SYS, I see that the error message says to logout and login using a different role.
What role should I use? Should I create a specific role for this task, and if so, what priviledges should the role have?
How do I ask a question on the forums? SQL and PL/SQL FAQ

I extend my condolences to you since you never get answers to your questions here.
I have added the 'log in as batch job' priviledge to the Administrator user.
I have then setup a password for the Administrator.
I then try and log into Oracle via the Enterprise Manager with the Administrator user details, but get the "Your username and/or password are invalid." error.
Sorry, can you please describe me to the exact username to use and the exact password?

Manly men do not use the Enterprise Manager (EM) for export but expdp (Data Pump) on the command line :-)
Take a look here to see how it works:
Seriously: You should consider using expdp / impdp - with only a bit practice, you are much faster that way than with EM
