It seems that the support for the internal RAID controller is only available with Cpqary driver 2.5.2.
Currently, we have the revision 18.104.22.168, and a new version is under investigation but I cannot say for when we can obtain it.
Maybe with S11.2

thanks for your answer. The driver wasn't the problem. It was actually caused by VT-D. I disabled this feature in the system BIOS and the installation worked like charm!
If the system works really like a charm, it will great if you can submit this info to HCL database with what you did in the BIOS.
Installation went flawlessly. Right now i am having trouble to configure on of the two the 10G SX-network ports (HP branded Broadcom NetXtreme) connected to a 1G SX-link on a HP ProCurve switch. During boot the link is active, when activating network the link goes down. Sigh. Still, i am confident to get this machine up and running with all it's features. Wehen this is done AND it is running stable i will be happy to add this to the HCL database.
You can maybe check on these pages if you can find a solution :

Those issues with the NIC are resolved. I needed to install the original bnxe driver from broadcom.
Thx and kind regards,
Ahh the old VT-D issue. I've been seeing this pop up in threads more frequently now, surprised to not see it in an SRU yet. Interestingly I thought this issue might be isolated to Supermicro boards, but hearing that HPs are exhibiting it sorta points to Solaris's kernel.

Woops! sorry don't know why I had dell on the brain :)
BTW: This even happens on SUN hardware:
The described fix also worked for my HP machine.
