Good Morning from Berlin :)
Thanks for your answer :) I found this solution, but I though there is a better, faster way. Cause I tried exactly this.
This ion ( parallel 6) runs 13h and don not come to an end. The server, database is running fast with 24 cores, 300 GB RAM and fast disks.
The only way to reset cube data is at the moment (for me) to drop and recreate it with OWB, but that isn't the solution I want to use in the
future ( only in special situations I have to truncate cube data).
I tried to "truncate" data two times with this the last 2 days:
dbms_cube.build('CUB_MEMBER_TRANSACTION_F USING(CLEAR)', add_dimensions=>false, parallelism=>6);
The CLEAR command should be fast, so there must be something wrong. Did you detach the AW from AWM before running this PL/SQL? What is the last command to run in the CUBE_BUILD_LOG? How many partitions do you have?
you idea was good, I didn't detach the AW before, now it runs,
thanks a lot!
Greetings from Berlin
Why does the parallel cube load not error out if it cannot attach the AW in MULTI mode?
The OLAP job keeps waiting (instead of erroring out), if another session has the AW attached in RW mode. This creates confusion.
