Yes, you just need to define which Oracle Form key function you will use to achieve this.1 person found this helpful
I've generally found that Alt+function key is less optimal that shift or control combinations as sometimes you can end up with focus passed to the menu.
Thanks for participation but i dont want to go through Menus. I just want a short cut key which shall open the form directly instead of going thru Menus.

You need to look in the fmrweb.res and decide which key-function you will use for your action, then write a trigger associated with that key to perform your open_form function.
Can you please elaborate a bit on the trigger part I am comfortable with editing .Res file. But i have tried those stuff in 6i doesnt works as documented and claimed.
I was able to invoke the code written in my function triggers. Can i give custom keys to call my key function trigger, all of the key function triggers seems to except Shift. Can we avoid this. Appreciate your help
