        I get your point, Billy my 'guess' would be you tend to lean more to the technical side, rather than the superficial side, whilst balancing/living on the edge/keeping a lead pipe as a WHEN OTHERS exception ;)

        Anyway, Tom's not that far off from the Online Docs:
        "A cursor is a name or handle to a specific private SQL area."

        Didn't know you are a teacher (as well) by the way, I wouldn't mind attending class having you as a teacher.

          Not really a teacher. Was an infantry instructor/junior officer in the army many many years ago - and we had to do the same basics as a teacher would ito preparing lesson plans, giving lessons, doing evaluations (practical and theory) of recruits, and so on. I preferred operational duty though - a lot more exciting (you're stupid when young). :-)
