Hi Experts,

Everything was working fine in OBIEE 11g, and then i thought of installing Standalone BI publisher Trial version. Since then My BI Services are not starting up.
I have now uninstalled the Bi Publisher Trial version.

The error that i am getting while starting BI services from windows is...

*weblogic.management.ManagementException: [Management:141223]The server name Admi*
nServer specified with -Dweblogic.Name does not exist. The configuration include
*s the following servers {bipserver}.*

    Hi Ashish,

Since you have installed standalone BIPServer, there is no server called "AdminServer" in your installation. How are you starting the server? What command did you use for starting? In your installtion, it seems there is only one server with name "bipserver" available. Try starting that server instead of AdminServer.

    Thanks,

    Thanks for the reply.

There was one weblogic server when i had installed OBIEE 11g ( BIPublisher was integrated with it).

Now when i installed BI Publisher standalone Trial Edition, it installed another Weblogic server and it somehow changed the Config.xml which resides in
    C:\OBIEE11g\user_projects\domains\bifoundation_domain\config

Now i want to use the OBIEE 11g's weblogic to start OBIEE and am unable to do so...

    Thanks
    Ashish

    Hi Ashish,

Did you give the same MW_HOME/DOMAIN_HOME location for both the installation? Normally a backup will be taken before updating the config.xml, Can you take a backup of your latest config.xml and restore the file from previous backup and try starting the admin server.

    Thanks,
    Arul
