You have to backup the VM as you would any regular machine, install the OSB client inside the VM and back it up directly. It's important to note that won't, just the same as any other backup tool, give you an OS image, but it will protect your data. In other words if you lose the whole OS you would have to reinstall and then put the data back from the backup.
Another alternative is to use a 2nd server and use vcbmounter to take a full image backup of the VM. You could then backup those full image files using OSB if you wished.
if i understand correctly OSB client software can be installed on a VM & we can take backup of the Application binaries installed in a VM. For the OS Image we have an option to use vcbmounter and then move it to Tape via OSB..
Is that Correct?

You understand correctly yes. As long as the running OS is supported by the OSB client, then this is a fully supported configuration.
