    Where is udump in 11.2.0.1?

    yxes2013
      Hi all,

      11.2.0.1

      I am tracing my database due to lots of locking error.

      ALTER SYSTEM SET SQL_TRACE = TRUE SCOPE=MEMORY;

      And then look for my dump using > show parameter dump
      SQL> show parameter dump

      NAME                                 TYPE        VALUE
      ------------------------------------ ----------- ------------------------------
      background_core_dump                 string      partial
      background_dump_dest                 string      /u01/app/oracle/diag/rdbms/edm
                                                       p2/edmp2/trace
      core_dump_dest                       string      /u01/app/oracle/diag/rdbms/edm
                                                       p2/edmp2/cdump
      max_dump_file_size                   string      unlimited
      shadow_core_dump                     string      partial
      user_dump_dest                       string      /u01/app/oracle/diag/rdbms/edm
                                                       p2/edmp2/trace
      I can see only trace and cdump :( where is adump, bdump, and udump?

      Thanks

              udump bdump are replace with diagnostic_dest in 11g

              background_dump_dest         11.1   DEPRECATED   replaced by "diagnostic_dest"
              user_dump_dest               11.1       DEPRECATED   replaced by "diagnostic_dest"
              core_dump_dest               11.1       DEPRECATED   replaced by "diagnostic_dest"

                Hi,

                What's your DIAGNOSTIC_DEST ?

                You can check by follows.
                SQL> select * from v$diag_info;
                # check Diag Trace.

                Regards,

                  It's been replaced with the Trace folder under Diag .

                  Aman....

                      The has been lots of "locking" transaction happening. Can I see it in OEM emca database control, or in the database level trace and tkfprof ?
