have you ever tried with the OHS/OAMwebagent to protect the app on WL SSL 7002?
The same story for port 443, I think.
There are more involved in the configurations.

If we set the SSL port on WLS to 7002 instead of 443... then it works fine... but we cannot force the client to change their SSL port.
Also... sorry for not having mentioned it... the client is using Solaris10, Apache22, WLS 10.3.5, and 10g webgates. The OAM Suite is basically 188.8.131.52 and resides on another server running RHEL5.6
did you check whether oamwebgate10g certified with oam11g?
Yes it is... these are 11g and 10g webgates. If they were not compatible with the OAM version we were using, then changing the ssl port in WLS would not matter.
