Thanks but I didnt get how to prompt for Date.
There are various option like within time period, within time interval etc but all are they are defined in filters but I want to add the time interval by user..
Please help me out.
Oh I understand your requirement.see here in Active Viewer you can't modify the reports, all you can do is only you can see the reports but you can provide Prompts the user specify value. only you can create surface prompt in Active studio and the,,those reports you can able to see in active viewer.while crating design filters only you need to mention the type of *"Prompt the user to specify a value"* option.
to achieve your requirement here is nice step by step example http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/jp/content/tutorial-8-bam-designingreportfilte-130508.pdf
note: Don't forget feed back on my answers!
Thanks a lot,but see there is no example with Date format because there is no option of Prompt for Date data type.It asks to select from calender but i want it to enter by user.
need to read more clear its possible to do with dates.those are most helpful link.
Solved the problem
I also have similar requirement on surface prompts for From Date & To Date. Can you please share, how you have achieve this requirement.
You have to have two surface prompts. One to capture the lower date parameter, and the one that is the higer date. You then need to have two filders setup on your Report view:
One that filters all rows that the greater than or equal to the lower limit date
...and the other that fielders the rows that are less than or equal to the higher limit.
You basically start from the filter tab in the edit mode of your List views and go about creating the surface prompts
Thank you Shankar, It Worked.
good to know for the same. make this helpful to others too
