I am confused. I thought that cumulative/incremental were exclusive backup types. How can they both be referenced in the same code block?

If no level 0 backup exists when you run a level 1 backup, then RMAN makes a level 0 backup automatically. Any inaccessible files are skipped. BACKUP INCREMENTAL LEVEL 1 CUMULATIVE SKIP INACCESSIBLE DATABASE;

We have our level 0 on last friday and sat,sun,mon,tues,wed,thurs- level 1 backup. Next (then) friday, (for some reason, i cannot perform level 0) and i want to take cumulative, instead of incremental. Does it backup since last level 0 or thursday level 1?
