    SQL PLUS

    1007061
      Hi guys,

      I already downloaded and installed Oracle 11g release 2 32-bit for windows 7
      (i used 32-bit oracle installer for my 64-bit windows 7 because the 64-bit installer can't install succesfully)
      After that i opened SQL Plus, and it asks me for username and password but i don't have it.
      Can you guys help me with this? Do you know some username/password that i can use?

      anyway i installed ORACLE 11g database for studying purposes.
      and i follwed the instructions here: http://www.tutorialspoint.com/plsql/plsql_environment_setup.htm

      THANKS!

          The installer asks you to set the initial passwords to whatever you want.

          Are you sure you installed the full database product and not just the client?

              Since, there are few default user created into the database. So, you can use them like scott/tiger, but this might be locked.

              You can check account status with.

              sql> select USERNAME, ACCOUNT_STATUS, LOCK_DATE, DEFAULT_TABLESPACE , CREATED from dba_users;

              if ACCOUNT_STATUS is open, you can login to this user using

              sqlplus scott/tiger

              other wise you need to unlock the account and then you can work.

              sql> alter user uesr_name account unlock;

              Thanks,

                      In the link you have mentioned - when are you in Step 5 - what is the Adminstrative Password you have given..? - Use that password to connect to sys - Later unlock scott user like - alter user scott account unlock

                                Okay i think you need the clear steps ..

                                1) In Windows 7 ->> Press Start Button ->> Search Programme files->> Enter SQL Plus press enter ->> in the Username box type ( sys as sysdba) ->> it will prompt password (give the password of sys which you remembered) ->> Sql> alter user scott account unlock;

                                Hope it will clear
