    webcenter protection

      hello,

we have a webcenter portal application that is IAM protected (needs userid / password to login successfully).

This webcenter portal application talks with webservices that are also protected by IAM and running on remote machine.

we do not want user to authenticate twice one on portal level and second time on web service level.

is there a way that user once authenticated to portal can then seamlessly also consume those webservices without needing autheticate second time ? what it could be ?

how r u consuming services? using web service data control or client?
in both cases, there will be a service operation to authenticate user, u need to call that operation by passing logged in user information n then call a business operation...

You need to configure WS-Security to get webcenter to share (SAML) tokens with your webservice backend. Try google, there are a few ways to do this depending on your setup
