    Replacing values in Interactive report columns

    ghini
      Hi,
      I am using APEX 4.2, DB 11.2

      I have an interactive report with few 'number' columns. There are some cells in which I woulld like to replace selected values that are displayed as '-12345' from the backend with null or a blank column.

      I want to perform this action only through the frontend.

      Can someone explain me the steps how it can be done.

      Thanks.

          Hello,
          First make your ' number' columns of interactive report as editable/ update able by the user from front end to achieve this here is the code:
          SELECT
          "EMPNO",
          ,CASE WHEN :request IS NULL OR :request NOT IN ('CSV', 'HTMLD') THEN apex_item.hidden (1, rowid)|| apex_item.text (18, column_name)
          ELSE column_name
          END "column_name" --->Select option select display as "remove HTML .... and a;so help you in downloading report perfectly.
          FROM EMP.

          Secondly use page validation to save the changes or to update the number filed using pl/sql package

          Hint-->
          FOR i IN 1 .. APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01.COUNT
          LOOP
          APEX.update_........ (APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01 (i), ---rowid
          APEX_APPLICATION.G_F18 (i), --- your number field column NUMBER
          :P1....,
          :P2_......,
          :P2_OUT
          );

          and job over :-)

          Thank you,
