I'm assuming this is something that's easily done, but I can't seem to figure out how.
We're using Portal 10.3.2. But we use it in a simple way where all users are essentially the same. No segments, no campaigns. Just as a CMS.
Our business & marketing folks want to be able to upload multiple pieces of content to appear in the same spot using the Portal Admin, and then schedule when each is displayed (also using the Portal Admin).
For example, they have HTML chunks 1, 2, and 3. They want to upload them all at once, and schedule Chunk 1 to display from date x to y, replaced by Chunk 2 from y to z, and have that replaced by Chunk 3 after date z. All via the Portal Admin.
I can create content selectors in code that have dates attached to them, but we want to upload content and schedule it via the Portal Admin and without changing code.
These chunks are parts of pages, not entire pages. Guessing I would need to put these into a Placeholder, but not sure about that.
I'm afraid WLP does not provide such a component. You need to write your own placeholder component that will handle correctly how contents are displayed, based on your own rules. You need also to store the start/end date in the content type.
