    Forms installation on LINUX

How to install form on linux? Does it requires weblogic as well? I have database 10gr2 and I want to connect to form where we will develop some form.

Please do not consider it a duplicate post and provide me if you have any link how to configure and what port it will require?

          Yes. See http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24269_01/doc.11120/e23960/toc.htm

Can you please provide us more details about what version of Oracle Forms and Reports you wish to install in Linux? Are you installing 10gR2, 11gR1 (11.1.1.x), or 11gR2 (11.1.2.x)? Oracle Forms 10gR2 does NOT require WebLogic; however, Oracle has ended support for Forms 10gR2 back in December 2011. Therefore, Oracle Forms 11gR2 ( specifically) would be the recommended version to install (11gR1 is also supported, but 11gR2 will be supported for a longer timeframe). As Paul pointed out, this version requires the use of Oracle WebLogic Server. If you plan to install the latest version of Forms 11gR1 (, we would recommend installing Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3.6.

If you are installing Oracle Forms 11gR2, please consider these prerequisites according to this knowledge base article: http://pitss.com/us/2012/10/09/oracle-weblogic-and-forms-11gr2-setup-prerequisites-for-linux/ NOTE: You can disregard step 5.3 in this article. The article contains the hardware and software requirements needed for Forms 11gR2 including the required Linux packages needed. To ensure your environment is certified, please also check out the Forms 11gR2 certification matrix: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/forms/oracle-forms-111210certmatrix-1886127.xls

The URL Paul provided is a great place to get started with the actual installation of Oracle Forms 11gR2 in Linux. Hope this helps!
