Say, for Example
If you are getting response from db adapter as abc,def,ghi then use an transform activity to split the string.
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:oraext="http://www.oracle.com/XSL/Transform/java/oracle.tip.pc.services.functions.ExtFunc">
<xsl:value-of select='substring(/ns:simpleelement/ns:dbString,1.0, oraext:last-index-within-string(/ns:simpleelement/ns:dbString,",") + 0.0)'/>
<xsl:value-of select='substring(/ns:simpleelement/ns:dbString,oraext:last-index-within-string(/ns:simpleelement/ns:dbString,",") + 2.0)'/>
Let me know if it helps you.

We are reading a csv file content by using java and inserting into table. While inserting entire file content is inserted as single string.
when i select that table i am getting below string as my Db select Output as string.
<c1>505 ODM Rebate,QUANTA MICROSYSTEMS INC.,5038-2-Q3-2009-ODM-02,AR9285-AL1E,45000,0.8,36000,9/30/2009,ODM / QUANTA MICROSYSTEMS INC. / DELL / LF-AR9285 / Q3-2009</c1>
Now i need to insert string into another table of 9 coulmns with the data above string. each column value is seperated by a comma in above string.
Thanks for your valuable information..
i have used create node set from delimited string instead of that template there in the link that u provide.
I am able to collect all individual data but need to have DB calls for count of those nodes which causes problem in performance wise
could you please suggest me how can i append all my elements to the variable of that xsd so that i can have only one DB call.
You can use this function
oraext:translate-from-native-function() : to convert string to XML. Inputs : string to convert, NXSD filename, NXSD root element name
If your String data from file is Base64 encoded then you can use ora:doTranslateFromNative().Inputs are similar.
Using the function us just have to update the XSD if the number or order of columns change in any way.
