    Unable to change to the patch directory

      Hi ,

      Iam trying to install the multi node rac ,( oralce application R12.1.1 , DATABSE 11.1.)

      Before that , iam try to apply the patches,

      1)R12.TXK.B.delta 3 [ Patch 8919489 ]
      2)R12.ATG_PF.B.delta.3 [ Patch 8919491 ]
      3)FND_FS/SM alias [ Patch 9926448 ]

      I had applied the patche R12.TXK.B.delta 3 [ Patch 8919489 ]sucessfully

      for applying the patch R12.ATG_PF.B.delta.3 [ Patch 8919491 ] it need AD
      This patch requires the following codelevel or higher: 'R12.AD.B.3'.
      The current on-site codelevel for the entity 'ad' is : 'R12.AD.B.1'

      for that i am trying to apply the patch of 9239089
      at the DB level its working fine
      at apps level its fails at,

      Already asked for the name of the patch directory.
      (The answer was: /u01/patches/8919491)

      Unable to change to the patch directory.
      You should check the file
      /u01/applR12/testerp1/apps/apps_st/appl/admin/testerp1/log/adpatch.log

      Its still checking at old default DIR

      Kindly help plz

          You should check the file
          /u01/applR12/testerp1/apps/apps_st/appl/admin/testerp1/log/adpatch.log

          Its still checking at old default DIR
          You need to apply adpatch from the beginning (not using a previous adpatch session) and the patch directory should be /u01/patches/9239089 (assuming Patch 9239089 is extracted under this directory).

          Please also make sure you complete pre-req. steps mentioned in the patch README file -- https://updates.oracle.com/Orion/Services/download?type=readme&aru=12062459

            I had done as per readme file , still show in error,Kindly check .

            Updating database....



            [applmgr@erpappl1 patches]$ cd 923908
            [applmgr@erpappl1 9239089]$ adpatch apply=no

            AGAIN IT will checking the same dir


            AD code level : [B.1]


            Not uploading patch history information from filesystem


            Already asked for the name of the patch directory.
            (The answer was: /u01/patches/8919491)

            Unable to change to the patch directory.
            You should check the file
            /u01/applR12/testerp1/apps/apps_st/appl/admin/testerp1/log/adpatch.log

            for errors.

                when i start adpatch from this dir "/u01/patches/9239089" It not asking me the patch dir ,just getting out by giving the error

                            I had applied it freshly , by restoring the backup of APPL_TOP , now its fine.

                            i got the error when applying 8919491


                            The following Oracle Forms objects did not generate successfully:

                            au resource CSCUTILS.pll


                            after checking the wokers log, i find this, its shows its work good,even though try to execute manually. by checking from one of your post ID. 177610.1

                            Assigned: file CSCUTILS.pll on worker 1 for product au username APPLSYS.

                            Time is: Wed May 15 2013 08:10:10

                            Completed: file CSCUTILS.pll on worker 1 for product au username APPLSYS.

                                    I want to share with you,

                                    when you get message: Continue as if it were successful [No] :
                                    please answer Y, then continue your patches

                                    after you finish all patches, you run :
                                    1. ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/utlirp.sql
                                    2. ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/utlrp.sql

                                    after you run above, there are no invalid objects.
