May be a cut-n-paste issue but if the line
var baseURL = "http://"document.location.host"/mapviewer";
does not have a '+' before and after document.location.host then that's one issue. i.e. the line should be
Otherwise the code looks fine. Seems pretty much the same as the 'Display a Map' example. Do the tutorials work?
var baseURL = "http://"+document.location.host+"/mapviewer";
Today i did install the mapviewer from the quickstart (http://download.oracle.com/otn/other/mapviewer/11g_ps6/mapviewer_11p6_qs.zip) in a new windows 2008 server and tried the same HTML in new machine but i did encounter the same error as stated before. I am not sure if i am missing any additional configuration. Please help
The file you created has to be accessed via the same web server. Let's say you copied Display A Map into a file showmapv2.html.
Then just opening showmapv2.html in a browser won't work with the V2 API as yet. The file has to be accessed via the web server (e.g.
localhost:8282/mydemos/showmap2.html). i.e. cross-domain does not work as yet in V2 (this is a bug and will be fixed).
With V1 just opening the file in the browser would work fine. This will be fixed in a future release of V2.
If the above does not descrive your situation then please provide more details on where the stored and URL used to access it.
