Open the weblogic-application.xml file and remove the duplicate entries for adf.oracle.domain and any other duplicates.

            Hi,

            the same article states:

"To begin, download the sample application and unzip the file to a local folder on your computer. Ensure that you’re using the studio edition of Oracle JDeveloper 11g Release 2 (11.1.2.1) or later, available as a free download on Oracle Technology Network."

You downgrade the workspace to 11.1.1.6, which is not supported. Please use the sample with the release version it is developed in. So use 1.1.2.2 or higher.

              Hi Timo,

Thanks for the response . I found the duplicates of oracle.adf.domain and listener class and deleted them . But the next time I run , these duplicates are created again and throws the same error . Tried it 3 times a, closed the jdevloper , restarted , but did not help

Frank is right, you are using the wrong sample. However, the error you get is the result of referring to the wrong schema. you should use
                <weblogic-application xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
                                      xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/weblogic-application http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/weblogic-application/1.0/weblogic-application.xsd"

for 11gR1 projects. I'm right in the middle of writing a blog about how to backport a workspace. Stay tuned, I'll post the link when the post goes live.

                    Hi Frank,

As pr your suggestion, I have downloaded the latest version of Jdev 11.1.2.4.0 and still facing the same issue. I have Jdev 11.1.1.6. on my desktop too . Parallely, having the other version can create a problem ? . Just FYI, I have downloaded the sample again from the Magazine link and extracted it to a New location, tested and falied . I am going to try what Timo suggested and update the thread soon !!

                      Sandeep,
Backlighting the magazine sample will not be easy. Your problem is that you try to use a sample which is built for 11gR2 using 11gR1. If you are not an experienced user this to much of a task. Either you try this sample
                      https://blogs.oracle.com/jheadstart/entry/core_adf11_uishell_with_dynamic
Which is for 11gR1, our you use Jdev 11.1.2.4 and try the sample with this version.
Installing two different versions on one pc is not a problem as long as you install them in different middleware home folders. Then you should not open the sources for one version with the other version.

                      Timo
