Does this help? http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E10530_01/doc/epm.931/html_fr_user/94.html
This is very helpful. But waht do I assign the function to....a text box ?
Exactly. Insert a text box and put the function (<<Date ("format")>>) in it.
FR - Financial Reporting
IR - Interactive Reporting
Good call Wayne. I assumed it was FR.
I am using Oracle Hyperion Interactive Reporting Version 9
A text Box or a Text Label. Also I think I may have a syntax problem.
When I paste:
I'm getting a syntax error
Replace the "format" with the format you want to use, for example:
<<Date("dd-MMMM-yy")>> displays 24-April-02
first off where are you getting the Date?
The question I have is where do I put the statement:
Is this a text box property, or does it go in the script section ?
In your Result section, create a new computed column with "Sysdate()", and it will generate the current system date. Then you can add this date to your Report or Dashboard showing when this query is run.
Can this be assigned to a text bax as well using this method...if so, how do I do that?
var TestDate = ActiveDocument.Sections["Results"].GetCell(1,1)
ActiveDocument.Sections["Dashboard"].Shapes["TextLabel5"].Text = "Today is: " + TestDate;
In your "Results", create a new computed column with "Sysdate()" and move it to column 1.
Add an Element to your dashboard by dragging a "Text Label"; modify the Script and Property of the Text Label.
if you have today's date as an column in a Query then you will need to do GetCell() from that results section and assign to the Text property of a Text Label or Text Box.
The assigning of that text to the object can be done under a Command Button or OnActivate of the Dashboard or OnStartup of the BQY
var dToday = new Date() var sYear = dToday.getFullYear() var sMonth = dToday.getMonth()+1 // 0 based index var sDay = dToday.getDate() var sToday = sMonth + '/' + sDay + '/' + sYear Alert(sToday)
