This is to save space on your local mirror. If you want to fully mirror ULN, you'll need ~50-60GB per channel on your mirror server and it will take several days (about 2-3) to mirror the channel initially. If this is OK with you, let me know and I'll tell you how to edit the script to enable a total channel mirror.
the ol5_x86_64_latest containt 2918 on the yum repository, and 11334 on the registered server
My goal is to be able to run a yum --security update on a server using my local repository as well a a subscribed server can doRegarding this part, I did log an SR with oracle support, and I was told it's work in progress, update to came soon.

Yes I'm interrested to have the script that will allow me to have the yum --security update working on a server using a local yum server.

I did some testing of it on an OL5 yum server today actually, so it will soon work on both OL5 and OL6 as both server and client, but it doesn't work yet.
on the server I want to check updates : 2.6.18-308.8.1.0.1.el5xen
