    How do I enable my browser to use Shift_JIS encoding from my JSP

      Hello All,

      I have some Japanese characters on my page and I would like to know how to enable character encoding on my browser from my JSP file. I have tried to manually change the character encoding on my browser to Shift_JIS and it works as I desired. I tried all changes as mentioned below, but my browser still goes back to UTF-8. Ours is a weblogic portal application and I have tried changing input charset in my weblogic.xml file with no luck.
      <%@ page language="java" contentType="text/html;charset=Shift_JIS" pageEncoding="Shift_JIS" %>
      <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=Shift_JIS">
      <% response.setContentType("text/html;charset=Shift_JIS"); %>
      <% request.setCharacterEncoding("Shift_JIS"); %>
      Please let me know what I am missing.

      Thanks!
      TS
