Try to add additional property -Djbo.debugoutput=console which will enable the console output for the sql queries executing behind the scene.
Try to debug based on those sql queries like what query is getting constructed and is it really expected to return any results.
And I am not sure why you had to disable the security?

I have added that option on all the 3 projects in my Customization APplication i.e. Customization, Model and View Controller Projects. I do not see any sql queries being shown on the log window.
ADFbc Logging definitely works; we use it regularly in development. When your WLS starts up, check the console log to make sure the parameter is passed correctly to the JVM. If you google "-Djbo.debugoutput=console", you should find lots of information around this topic as it's generic and not specific to Fusion Apps.
