"Virtual IPs will be started on the private interfaces so that they can be relocated to other interfaces on failure."
Any reason why they are started on the private interfaces and not the public? Also, after they are started do they continue to receive their traffic through the private interface? Or are they moved to the public interface right after they are started?
I'm unable to find much information on this claim from anywhere besides that book.
"Virtual IPs will be started on the private interfaces so that they can be relocated to other interfaces on failure.".. meaning that they are referring to the clusterware haip... which runs only if you have the os bonding or more network interfaces of the private interconnect..
