CentOS is not supported by Oracle but it should work if you follow installation guide for Red Hat Linux or Oracle Linux.
Linux NTP configuration is documented in http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e22489/prelinux.htm#BABECGII.
I dont' think you need to remove last login output. You should use instead another ssh command to check ssh configuration:
ssh node2 date
if ntpd is not running then normally the ctssd takes over the cluster time synchronization services... for linux use the /etc/sysconfig/ntpd file and include -x at the start...
