We took delivery of our two new X3 machines today.
As we were unloading them into our data centers, I think I heard our V1 cry out in agonizing jealousy and despair. Our V2 didn't seem to notice as it was too busy actually working instead of whining about storage cell temperatures and errors on its IB fabric.
It helps that our V2 doesn't have a massive inferiority complex because it's the lovechild of HP and Oracle. What seemed so right four short years ago is now just a consequence of a hideous mistake, a reminder of a catastrophic lapse in judgement, an unloved, unwanted and ignored afterthought.
That is all. There is nothing actually interesting or remotely relevant in this post. I just wanted to be a geek and extol joy and mirth that we have some new toys to play with.
I know you are all happy for me and I appreciate the warm thoughts. I bid you all a pleasant and sunny weekend.
