How to use insert key in Solaris Bash Vi

      Hi Folks,

I recently installed Solaris 10 x86-64 bit, and the default shell is not really user friendly, I have switched it over to bash shell but my current issue is that I can't use i key to insert a new letter when I use vi.

I want to make bash shell is similar to the linux bash shell.

My current user's home profile looks like below:

      # This is the default standard profile provided to a user.
      # They are expected to edit it to meet their own needs.
      if [ -f ~/.bashrc ]; then . ~/.bashrc; fi
      export TERM=xterm
      export PS1="\u@\h:[\w] $ "
      export INPUTRC=/etc/inputrc
