In my report, some frames only contain one field. To save space, I need to make those frames same size (same width, same height), and same location as the field. It means the size and location of those frames should exactly match their fields.
But, for those frames which only consist of one field, when I use the mouse to adjust their sizes and location to match their fields, Object Navigator will show that their fields moved outside of them. Is there anyway to solve this problem?
Hello! The problem is that when I resize the parent frame to the same size as the field, then in object navigator, the field will be moved outside of parent frame and will not become a field in that frame.
DO ONE STEP LIKE THIS : -
DRAW A FRAME ON YOUR FIELD WITH BIGGER SIZE THEN FIELD,
NOW , FILL WHITE COLOR INTO FRAME AND USER BRING FRONT OPTION FROM REPORT BUILDER.
IT WILL BRING YOUR FIELD FORWARD INTO THE FRAME , THEN REMOVE WHILE COLOR.
IF YOUR FIELD IS OUT OF THAT FRAME THEN FRAME WITH WHITE COLOR ONLY SHOWN , IF IT IS INSIDE THEN FRAME THEN WHITE COLOR AND FIELD , BOTH WILL DISPLAY INTO FRAME.
This reply is to everyone who replied to my question. After changing the border line width of both the field and the frame to "Hairline", by selecting the objects -> Format -> Line -> Line width -> Hairline, the problem is now solved.
