Hi can someone please let me know what would be the impact on the volume of the archive log if the supplemental log group is created at the table level.
I am trying to run a CDC software for my oracle database which uses the logminer and i would need to enable the table level supplemental logging.
I am sure that enabling the supplemental logging at the table level would log more information into the archive logs than the usual logging.
I know that this depends on the number of columns, datatype and the type of transactions (insert/update/delete)
assuming the database has 100 user tables and has the equal number of insert/delete and updates happening to all the tables.
It would be great if some one can give the rough estimate of the archive log size growth.
