If you're using 12.1, you can try Checklists.
Everything explained in detail :
Another option is to use an audit tool( audit-trial or a third-party solution)
You can audit all the data and then base your reports on the audit data.
Third-party tools - http://www.caosys.com/csaudit.php
I have reviewed and followed the checklist document and it does not explain how to insert a message into the notification. Do you have further information to this document?
We haven't used the check-lists functionality extensively, but as the name suggests, it is mainly to do a predefined set of tasks and you can attach standard templates.
If you want to send secure data, Audit is the best way forward.
We use cs-audit which tracks all the information, and then have discoverer reports on top of the audit data.
You can as well create custom routines to send the audit data to specific users.
We have sox audit reports, these are for notificaitons to various departments to notify of new hires, terminations, department/job/locaitons changes, and such. We need to include employee data in the notifications, for instance, for a termination notification we need to include employee name, number, termination date, supervisor. For Job change, we need to include more assignment date, such as employee name, number, job, location, supervisor, effective date.
Can you provide more information on custom routines? I am not sure what these are.
What I meant by custom routines was -
You can create concurrent request(s) and then schedule these to be run at particular intervals.
These requests will look at the audit data and send mails(notifications) to users.
Say all the changes done to a person, can be sent to his/her supervisor.
