    Loading forms using Java 1.7

    qazianeel

      Hello friends

I've installed EBS 12.1.1 on OEL 5.5 (64 bit). I'm trying to load forms using Java version 1.7 but it shows error like "the jinitiator version is high", what I have to do to load forms using Java 1.7.

      Regards

Please make sure you complete the steps in (Deploying JRE (Native Plug-in) for Windows Clients in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 [ID 393931.1]).

            Thanks for your response Sir.

I followed your earlier posts about enabling support for jre 1.7 and after some R&D I applied patches and enabled the same but now I'm facing a new error on specific form(s) (as experienced up till now).

When I click on invoices in payables and receivables it shows error: FRM-92101 : There was a failure in the forms server during startup.

            Please help.

            Regards

                Aneel,

So, I understand the issue with one form only, right? If yes, please see if (FRM-92101 In AP When Trying to Go to a Different Responsibility [ID 1159254.1]) helps.

If the solution doesn't help, please try to generate the form manually or via adadmin and check then.

Since this is a fresh install, I assume you have no invalid objects in the database so please confirm this.

                Thanks,

                Hussein

                  Thanks bro.

I'll try this solution tomorrow and my DB has some invalid objects I recompiled them and I generated forms files using adadmin without any error.

Can you please confirm if whether I can clone EBS 12.1 from RHEL 5.3 (64 bit) to OEL 5.5 (64 bit) or not?

                  Regards

Thank you Sir Hussein for help

I think the issue was with Forms Servlet, the files were not updated, as symptoms given in following document.

frm-92101 Forms Servlet (frmsrv.jar) Not Updated After Patching to 10.1.2.3 [ID 1058514.1]

We were in hurry so we restored the backup for now and it's working fine with jre 1.6.

                      Regards
