Please do not install Oracle in "Program Files". Instead use path like C:\Oracle or create directory like C:\Programs\Oracle etc
If you still want to use Program Files then use "C:\PROGRA~1" since "PROGRA~1" internally represents "Program Files" on windows.
Thanks for you reply. I already tried to install in E drive where i craete directory but the problem didn't solve. It showed the same error which i already mentioned.
What path did you mention when you selected E:? Did it also contain spaces? As I told you PROGRA~1 must work 100%. Regardless, instead of typing the path, you can browse it so that Oracle will pick up correct format.
Thread moved from the Solaris 9 forum space,
to the Oracle Database Installation forum space so that peopel can assist you with your installation onto your Microsoft Windows OS.
Just because your product has a number 9 in it, doesn't mean the best forum space also needs to have a number 9 in its name.
What is the exact OS version ? Which exact version of "9i" ? What is the business reason for installing a desupported release ?
