We have implemented iSupport for one of our customers. The server is Windows 2003 and it was cloned from Production and is in DMZ. Currently its running in Non-SSL port using port 80.
The customer wants to implement SSL certificate for iSupport application. I am following note:A Guide to Understanding and Implementing SSL for Oracle Applications [ID 123718.1].
I will be implementing SSL only on Apache HTTP server. I have generated CSR and sent it to CA.
Currently the Appl Context File has port 80 defined here:
<web_port oa_var="s_webport" oa_type="PORT">80</web_port>
Following are the lines from httpd.conf
# Port: The port to which the standalone server listens. For
# ports < 1023, you will need httpd to be run as root initially.
## SSL Support
## When we also provide SSL we have to listen to the
## standard HTTP port (see above) and to the HTTPS port
Should I update the "s_webport" in Appl Context File to 443 and run autocofig and then implement SSL?
Following are the updates I need to do in the Appl Context File for SSL.
s_url_protocol - https
s_local_url_protocol - https
s_webssl_port - 443
s_web_ssl_directory - E:\prod\prodcomn\admin\certs\apache
s_web_ssl_keyfile - E:\prod\prodcomn\admin\certs\apache\ssl.key\server.key
s_web_ssl_certfile - E:\prod\prodcomn\admin\certs\apache\ssl.crt\server.crt
s_web_ssl_certchainfile - E:\prod\prodcomn\admin\certs\apache\ssl.crt\ca-bundle.crt
