ODS/Rulebase Receiving 404 Error on Red Hat Enterprise 5.9 Cloud Using JBoss

Hello,

I am currently using JBoss as my AS and I'm trying to deploy ODS/rulebase but am receiving a 404 error. Using Red Hat Enterprise 5.9 as our cloud Linux instance.

I have my WAR in jboss/standalone/deployments and am required to use JBoss (can't switch to Tomcat, unfortunately).

Has anybody deployed ODS / their rulebase on a Linux instance using JBoss? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Some details:

application.properties:

load.rulebase.from.classpath =false

rulebase.path               =/WEB-INF/classes/rulebases

Versions of JBoss deployed and tried:

EAP 6.1

AS 7.1

AS 5.1

Deployment return details:

My SSH client (PuTTY) tells me that determinations-server.war is deployed with 0 warnings/errors and the JBoss Administration Console interface verifies that it is deployed and enabled.

Thank you,

Mike

    Hi 921153 / Mike,

A 404 error / response can have many reasons.

Would you mind posting the relevant log?

And also the steps to reproduce the behaviour ?

    Kind regards,

    Darko

    Hi Darko,

    Correction - not a 404 error anymore.....

    Steps to reproduce:

    Install Java SE6

Install Maven 3.0.5 (including setup of env vars)

    Install JBoss EAP 6.1

change application.properties when unpacking determinations-server.war in WEB-INF/config to what I posted above

    copy rulebase to WEB-INF/classes/rulebases

    re-zip

    rename to .war

Thanks a lot for the help!!!!!

    I am receiving the following:

    HTTP Status 500 -

    type Exception report

    message

description The server encountered an internal error that prevented it from fulfilling this request.

    exception

    java.lang.NullPointerException com.oracle.determinations.server.DSServlet.writeError(DSServlet.java:133) com.oracle.determinations.server.DSServlet.doGet(DSServlet.java:76) javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:621) javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:728)
