Since you are at PeopleTools patch level 19, did you also reinstall PTF after appying PT8.51.19?
IE 9 is certified in combination with PT8.51 on Windows Server 2008, so it should also be certified with PTF. To be honest I was not able to find a direct certification of browser and PTF, the only think I could find is a reference in PeopleBooks stating that IE is the only supported browser for PTF.
Other things you might want to try to pin point the issue:
- Reinstall PTF
- Reinstall .NET
- Try running it on another OS than a server, for example Windows 7, since this is a desktop application and not part of the PeopleSoft architecture (PIA, Appserv, DB).
We installed this after the path and PTF is working fine in Win 7 OS (Local Desktop) with IE 8, first time we are installing this on a Windows 208 server and getting this issue.
Not sure, but it could come from different security settings of IE between desktop and server installation. Randy pointed me out to last week, though it was an other problem, maybe interesting to check it out anyway:
I did run PTF on local sandboxes on Windows Server 2008, so I am sure it works, but I usually disable UAC straight away to avoid permission restrictions on paths and the need to run applications as administrator.
You could try to run PTF as administrator or even disabling UAC.
Reinstalling .NET might also help.
Are you getting the error when starting PTF or after starting PTF and trying to hook the browser?
If you are getting this error when starting PTF, you are not at the point of the browser version being the issue.
I am getting this error after starting PTF and trying to record using red colored button.
