I have 2 OVM environments(OVM 3.2.2), one for development and one for testing. Both have one server pool with several OVMS in it and separate OVM Manager to manage them. Now what I want to do is to set only one OVM Manager to manage both environments. What I need to do to migrate one server pool to another OVM Manager with already having one server pool? All OVMS and OVM Manager are visible through network.
Thanks in advance.
Down time will be necessary to remove and add the new pool to the existing manager:
1- Power-off all VMs
2- Clean up the cluster data on each oracle vm server, i.e. service ovs-agent stop, then rm -fr /etc/ovs-agent/db/* then rm -fr /etc/ocfs2/cluster.conf
3- Reboot each oracle vm server
4- Recreate the new pool in the existing manager (discover, setup networks, create the pool)
5- user the setcluster tool to reuse the repositories from the old pool (open a SR to request the setcluster tool)
6- Refresh repos a couple times and move and start the VMs on the desired servers
