when you say it is not working what is the problem?
Are you getting errors in the Console Window? Menubar-View-Console Window
Have you looked at the filters your are modifying with your Script? Are they getting the values you expect?
You did the RemoveAll() in the New Accounts REGION portion of your code, why did you not repeat the same logic in your Year Filter section?
The YEAR filter is working fine. The Region filter produces no results. No errors, just no results.
...is probably working, but producing unexpected results. Do you mean...
Good Catch DougP!
Using IRFramework, this would look more like:
// in OnStartup event eval( (new JOOLEObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")).OpenTextFile(-2, 1, "\\\\server\\folder\\IRFramework.js").ReadAll() ); ActiveDocument.loadObjectMethods();// in button OnClick eventvar arrYr = ActiveDocument.Section["dashboard"].Shapes["drop_YearSelect"].GetValue(); var arrRgn = ActiveDocument.Section["dashboard"].Shapes["drop_Region"].GetValue(); ActiveDocument.Sections["Results1"].Limits["REGION"].setSelection(arrRgn); ActiveDocument.Sections["Results1"].Limits["Ftr Creat Dt Year"].setSelection(arrYr); ActiveDocument.Sections["Results2"].Limits["FtrCloseDtYear"].setSelection(arrYr); ActiveDocument.Sections["Results3"].Limits["FtrCloseDtYear"].setSelection(arrYr);
That totally worked...I can't belive I missed that ! It's working fine now.
I like the looks on this and I like the way it captures the value of the drop down box without the user making a "selected" event. What is the benefit of using this code in this fashion?
