Past one month we are facing Workflow Mailer issue.Some of the mail notification getting failed but some Mail notifications sent successfully.
We have raised P1 Sr and they analyzed and suggested one patch for this issue(Patch 16559330). after applying this patch Mail Notification Failure issue resolved but all mail notification getting delay to sent.
Mailer takes more than two days to send a mail. We don't know why this issue happened.Due to this issue our suppliers cant receive PO Mail notification in correct time.So they unable to supply materials in correct time for our factory.Our productivity affected due to this issue.All mail notification status is Ready but not Sent in correct time.it will take 2 days to send a mail notification.
Pls resolve this issue.
The patch 16559330 does not cause any delay while sending email notifications. Please provide the error message which you are getting while sending email notifications from the Mailer log files.
We had situation where entire mail box was stuck.
Raised SR and Oracle suggested need regular maintenance on smtp mailbox.
1)Sysadmin can create additional Folder say Trash and transfer Processed mails into that Folder
2)If you are receiving mails with Junk characters(eg. Manually forwarded mails) which Oracle can not process that cause seizure of notification processing.
Those mails can be identified in that folder and delete or put in Trash Folder.
