    Merge Java Forums

Presuming that the real goal of Oracle isn't to just kill off Java or at least unpaid forum support then the Java forums should be merged.

Currently most Java forums see no traffic for weeks and it is possible it is even longer.
Even the very few popular forums only see a few new questions posted per day.

And given that checking each forum for new posts requires that one must click through several layers for each forum then it is certainly possible that some people just don't bother and so fewer questions get answered.

So the forums should be merged to just a couple of forums.  Perhaps "New" and "Advanced"

          Joe,

supposedly there will be some activity to revamp the whole Java space(s). But I don't really know when this will be discussed. Your suggestion does make sense with traffic being that low. If it will ever pick up again, new fora could be set up again.

You can "follow" the spaces you are interested in and then use the dashboard (which will by default show the activity on your followed spaces) to get close to the good old active threads list. But of course you first need to log in before that will work.
