I have a requirement like read an excel file and upload the sheets data to DB table. Done with development and used jxl-2.6.jar to read an excel sheet.
My code is working fine locally with Jdeveloper. In order to deploy the code on furhter unix enviroment:Copied the jxl jar under $JAVA_TOP and deployed my code and bounced the server but reading an excel sheet functionality is not working.
Can any one help me to configure jxl jar to oracle apps server?
Is this Release 12.1 ?
Did you add the JAR file to the custom classpath ? ("s_oacore_prepend_classpath" or "s_oacore_append_classpath") See "How to add custom JAR files to Apache OC4J Classpath in R12 instance?" (Doc ID 433241.1)
Thanks for your reply.
Yes I am using R12.1.
As per Doc ID 433241.1, I am trying below steps.
1. add jxl-2.6.jar file in $OA_JAVA/oracle/apps/fnd/jar/jxl-2.6.jar
2. updated the paramters s_oacore_prepend_classpath and s_oacore_append_classpath with the above ( $OA_JAVA/oracle/apps/fnd/jar/jxl-2.6.jar) jar file location.
3. execute auto config
4. restart the services.
I have a confusion in step 2. where I can find s_oacore_prepend_classpath/s_oacore_append_classpath.
Can you please provide exact file name and path to update the parameters s_oacore_prepend_classpath and s_oacore_append_classpath with the jar file location?
These are EBS AutoConfig variables. Refer to "Using AutoConfig to Manage System Configurations in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12" (Doc ID 387859.1) for more details
Login as your EBS "applmgr" user (code owner) and set the environment
The EBS context file location is set in the variable CONTEXT_FILE, so you can make backup copy of the file, then edit using your favourite editor (e.g. $ vi $CONTEXT_FILE )
