I am trying to make the following code work in APEX 4.2.2 on Oracle's Hosted site..
Page : 650
Application: Cost Allocation Test (67490)
It works on a local instance of 11g XE, but when hosted on Oracle's hosted site it wants a new Google Maps API key. There is NOT one associated with the plugin at this time..
Ultimately I'd like to replace the plugin with Warp 11's Google Map Plugin, but their site for downloads is down right now.. Does anyone have a copy of their plugin they could share??
Here's my guess, but I'm pretty sure it's accurate.
I think apex.oracle.com hits the Google API service enough that it's being throttled and restricted. It now needs a API key to use the API. This then allows Google to either charge for the service or at least verify it complies with their TOS. Their TOS basically says that if the site is public and you don't require user/password to authenticate then you're allowed free access, otherwise you should register and get a Key.
Did you try this one?
Demo is up and if you go to their demo site they have a download button.
