I am using SqlDeveloper 3.2.20 and need to import a database which was created in msAccess. I do not have Access (or any MsOffice tool) installed, so the file is exported from some other location and copied to my laptop.
Although I have the "access" tab active in the "create connection" panel, apparently I do not have the proper odbc driver to make the connection, and every time I try to openn the file I get
java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified
I was trying to find the proper driver and couldn't do it... and more than once I read that, since msaccess is proprietary, there is no way I can install it whitout Ofiice...
My question is: can i get the odbc driver in Oracle downloads, Microsoft site (??), or is it impossible without getting msOffice?
PS:My environement is W7 64-bit.
Thanks for the help
Well, found solution
Installed AccessDatabaseEngine, that did the trick
