I am having issues while installing the Oracle Database 11g R2 64 bit installation on my Windows 7 64 bit Professional machine. The installer does all the checks successfully, the last check I could see 'Check the PATH variable'then the window immediately disappear with no other errors. I need installation of 64 bit Oracle 126.96.36.199.0 on my machine desperately.
Pl confirm that you are executing setup.exe by right-clicking it and selecting 'Run as Administrator', and that you are not using any directory with spaces in the names. It is best to choose to only install the software first, then create any databases using DBCA.
Pl also post the last 100 lines from the install log file - see Chapter F in the Install Guide
Thanks for the answer with the link.
I installed the 64 bit oracle 188.8.131.52.0 on a 64 bit Windows 7 using the document. and creating a folder 'C:\TEMP' which is not created by the installation of Window 7.
I observed that If the folder C:\TEMP is missing, installation is terminated without creating any logs.
