Our project, we are creating object on Schema_A. How to access the same object from Schema_B
except creating sub_type from Schema_B. Please provide any suggestions to access the Schema_A object
CREATE OR REPLACE
TYPE CUSTOMER_UPDATE_REC AS OBJECT (
CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE CUSTOMER_UPDATE_TAB IS TABLE OF CUSTOMER_UPDATE_REC;
GRANT EXECUTE ON CUSTOMER_UPDATE_TAB TO schema_b;
CREATE TYPE CUSTOMER_UPDATE_TAB AS OBJECT ( attr3 Schema_A.CUSTOMER_UPDATE_TAB );
Instead of creating sub type from Schema_B, is there any other option to access the Schema_A object from Schema_B.
Please provide any suggestion like to create synonym or any other format. But we should access object Type from Schema_B only through object structure.
Thanks fr your reply
I'm sorry, I don't exactly understand what it is you are asking. In your example code, you are NOT sub-typing. Do you want to create a sub-type of a Schema_A object type in Schema_B? Then you will also need to grant the "under" privilege on the object type to Schema_B. For example:
GRANT UNDER ON CUSTOMER_UPDATE_REC TO schema_b;
CREATE TYPE CUSTOMER_UPDATE_REC under Schema_A.CUSTOMER_UPDATE_REC ( ... );
Is this what you are after?
