    Hi Ravi,

    Please try increasing the value of the processes parameter value in the init<SID> file in the dbs directory

    Note: If you are using a pfile, you will have to restart the database to change take effect. If you are using spfile, this can be achieved dynamically

    Also refer notes:

    Thanks &

    Best Regards,

    Maybe a bit pedentic: changing dynamically or not a parameter has nothing to do with pfile/spfile

    Right, the first need a file modification (pfile), the latter a sql command line (spfile), but whatever is in use either pfile or spfile, you'll have to bounce the database to take effect for PROCESSES parameter change.

    SQL> alter system set processes=300 scope=both;

    alter system set processes=300 scope=both

                     *

    ERROR at line 1:

    ORA-02095: specified initialization parameter cannot be modified

    SQL> alter system set processes=300 scope=spfile;

    System altered.

    Nicolas.

    sorry for the non-formatted code, I'm not getting used this infamous editor capabilities

    Hi,

    What is your OS and DB version?

    Take a look at the note Doc ID 555609.1 (indicated earlier by ARM.Asif) as it stands to any platform.

    Thank you!!
