I have a classic report and I am trying to make a filter field or a search bar for it.
For example: report with project details and I have details like project label and project name.
So what I want is a search bar where user could type anything similar like in project label column and project name. How can I make that?
What you do is you create an item for example PX_SEARCH and then you create a search button that does nothing but to submit the page. That way you send the value of the item to the session after the user presses search.
Then you can use the item in the where clause of the SQL query of your classic report.
