Hi Every body,
I have scenario like
If it is mar2011 in first column(My pointer current point of view)
I have used range function and RELATIVE FUNCTION FOR CHANGING THE MONTHS
IHAVE TAKEN ONLY TWO COLUMNS IN MY REPORT FIRST COLUMN MAR AND NEXT COLUMN BY USING RANGE&RELATIVE FUNCTION OF CURRENT MONTH
BUT YEAR IS THE PROBLEM IT S NOT UPDATING.
HOW SHOULD I UPADATE YEAR ACCORDING TO THE MONTH
You cannot update year according to months. You can design dynamic reports by pre-selecting months and years and use conditional suppress.
I'm not entirely sure how you are using the range function, but I have similar reports that look back 12 or 13 periods. Have you tried using the period offset function as opposed to range?
So you would have Current Point of View for Period, Current Point of View for Period offset by +1, Current Point of View for Period offset by +2, Current Point of View for Period offset by +3, etc. for as many as you want. Not sure if this is what you were looking for, but figured I'd throw it out there as this will update both the month and if you cross over years it will update that as well.
